๐ย Publication milestone!ย ๐
Congrats to Lynton Graetz on his first PhD publication in Hearing Research: Electroencephalographic features of chronic subjective Tinnitus: A scoping review! ๐
This scoping review of 81 resting-state EEG studies explores how brain activity could provide objective markers of tinnitus. It highlights changes in spectral power, connectivity, and networks, and sets out a pathway using robust stats and machine learning to move toward clinically useful measures.
With tinnitus affecting up to 20% of people, this is an exciting step toward better diagnosis and treatment.
The Medical Device Research Institute (MDRI) at Flinders University is very proud of Lynton and our MDRI co-authors for their contribution to advancing tinnitus research including A/Prof Kenneth Pope, Tharin Sayed, Rebekah O’Loughlin along with collaborators Mitchell Goldsworthy, Sabrina Sghirripa and Giriraj Singh Shekhawat. ๐
