2024 Travel and Conference Schemes

 

The College is pleased to announce the launch of the revised Conference and Travel Schemes. Applications are open now, and close 11:59 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

The CMPH Conference and Travel Scheme is open to all CMPH staff. Comprehensive guidelines for the Travel and Conference Schemes are available here. We encourage all eligible members of our community to review the guidelines carefully and submit their applications within the specified timeframe.

Additionally, a second round will be provided later in the year to ensure a fair and inclusive process for all interested individuals.

The College is committed to supporting the academic and professional development and building capacity of our people. We encourage everyone to take advantage of these offerings and look forward to receiving your applications.

 


 

John Chalmers Travel Fellowship for Early Career Academics

These fellowships will support early career academics to attend a national or international conference to advance their professional standing in their chosen health and medical research or education field. Professor John Chalmers was the Foundation Professor of Medicine and later Dean at Flinders University and Flinders Medical Centre. Information regarding application timeliness will be made available in the College e-News.

Outside Studies Program

The Outside Studies Program provides academic staff with a period free from normal academic responsibilities while receiving substantive salary for the purpose of additional learning activities.

Overseas Travel Scheme

The College offers the Overseas Conference Scheme (OCS) pursuant to clause 64 of the Flinders University Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026. The OCS is to assist members of staff who are invited to make substantial contributions to overseas conferences.

Domestic Travel Scheme

The Domestic Travel and Conference Scheme (DTCS) is offered to provide assistance to members of staff to access funding to support attendance at national conferences, workshops and other activities.

FHMRI Research Conference Support Grant

The FHRMI Research Conference Support Grant is a commitment from the College to raise the quality of individual and collective research outputs by enabling collaboration, dissemination of research findings, and sharing of ideas and methods. The FHMRI Research Conference Support Grant provides support for EMCRs.

David and Margaret Wattchow Research Travel Fund

An annual award made possible by a generous gift from Professor David Wattchow AM and his wife Margaret, to support Higher Degree or Early-Career Researchers to obtain skills and knowledge that will directly benefit neuroscience research in FHMRI. Information regarding application timelines will be made available in the College e-News.
