The nutrition and dietetics employment landscape has been changing dramatically and this has created some challenges for our graduates. We passionately believe that there continues to be important need for nutrition services to ensure a healthy population, and consequently we have been engaged in a program of professional development about innovation and enterprise to future-proof graduate employment. In February 2018, together with some dietetic practitioners (Anthony Meade, Carolyn Dent and Rhiannon Crane) we participated in a course (4 days) on innovation and enterprise with the Flinders New Venture Institute. We learnt about creating stakeholder points of view, testing assumptions, creating value propositions, testing prototypes and creating business models.

We are planning to share our insights and invite people to join with us in learning about innovation and enterprise in an event which will be held on Thursday 31st May from 3-5pm at Flinders in the City, Victoria Square.
