When was the last time you put your research day on pause to find a little time to add some balance into your busy life? Across the university this week are a range Wellbeing activities, that we encourage you to explore. While the way we each approach self-care is very personal, a few top picks for the week are:
- Thrive Festival (Tuesday 10 September, 11am – 2pm – Bedford Park | Law and Commerce Courtyard ) – from cheap food, market stalls, free massages and Pilates (book here), plant pot painting (book here) and terrarium making (register at the Botanista stall on the day). There is a little something for everyone.
- African Soul Drumming (Wednesday 11 September, 12.30pm – 1.30pm – Bedford Park| The Plaza)
- Art therapy making a Collaborative Canvas at (Thursday 12 September | 11am – 1pm – Sturt Precinct | Courtyard)
Did you know there are also year-round wellbeing activities and resources you can tap into? Health, Counselling and Disability Services eMental Health Project Officer, Dr Gareth Furber has kindly summarised what’s on offer in this blog post.
