RED Alert – brought to you by Professional Research Staff Community of Practice

It is with great pleasure to announce that the Professional Research Staff Community of Practice has now two new co-Chairs: Mrs Elise Tucker and Mrs Carlie Sawtell (Delaine). We are very happy to see both of these experienced and dedicated researchers take on this role following the great leadership of the outgoing Chair, Sarah Nicholas.

Elise is highly skilled in molecular biology, molecular genetics and microscopy. In her role as managing the shared tissue culture facilities in Flinders Medical Centre she supports many researchers.

Carlie has a huge breadth of expertise in molecular biology, protein chemistry, protein expression and purification as well as tissue culture. She is also a safety warden and plays a great role in supporting researchers.

Together they will build a team to represent all of the FHMRI Professional Research Staff including non-lab based and lab based staff. Next year they hope to bring the Community of Practice together with networking and mentoring activities.

Please welcome both into the role and get in touch with them if you would like to join the Professional Research Staff Community of Practice.
