On Friday 26th September 2014, Ken Goodall officially graduated from his PhD which was co-supervised by Southgate’s Dr Lareen Newman (both pictured). The ceremony was held at the Adelaide Town Hall, with Flinder’s academics processing to the venue from nearby Flinders-in-the-City on Victoria Square. To add to the celebrations, Ken also had a paper published the same week. The paper was based on his PhD research into how older Greek and Italian migrants find the information they need for everyday living, which also pertained to Dr Newman’s research focus at Southgate on digital inclusion:  http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ecc.12241/abstract
