Improving the student experience one chromosome at a time

First year biology practicals jumped from paper to something more tangible this year. The chromosome pairs, pictured, have been crafted from acrylic using a laser cutter thanks to Damian Kleiss (a Development Engineer working in our Tonsley technical team). Previously, the shapes used to be cut out of coloured paper each year.

Not only are the new chromosome shapes more tangible, durable and more professional, they also save hours of painstaking time.
