Medical Library to close temporarily in December 2019

The Medical Library will close at 9pm Friday 29 November and reopen at 9am Monday 6 January 2020. This temporary closure is to expedite the completion of the ceiling repairs by SA Health, following the fall of tiles last February.

Library staff at Central and Sturt Libraries will respond to enquiries directed to Document Delivery, SendIt, Service One, the FLO Help and Information Desks. This service provision will extend up to Tuesday, 24 December (1pm University closure) resuming in the new year from Thursday 2 January 2020. To further minimise impact of the Medical Library’s temporary closure the Library will:

• Transfer the Medical Library’s high demand print and test collections to Central Library;
• Provide for alternative access to Foodworks software.
• Ensure that everyone can request physical items from the Medical Library’s main print collection for pickup from either Central or Sturt Libraries.

Return of materials may be made to the Medical Library before 30 November, or during December at the Central (24 hour accessible return chute) or Sturt Libraries, or to the reception of the College of Medicine and Public Health.
