Exams to be held on campus and online this Semester

During the Semester 2 exam period (Saturday 7 November to Saturday 21 November) some exams will be held on campus at Bedford Park, and others will be held online.

All students with an exam during this time will be sent a provisional exam timetable by Thursday 8 October. This timetable will show if the exam(s) will be held on campus or online. Some students may have mix of on campus and online exams (for different topics).

Additional safety measures at exam venues

Keeping students COVID safe during the exam period is Flinders’ number one priority and additional safety measures will be put in place at exam venues, in line with current SA Health guidelines. This includes:

  • COVID marshals in attendance
  • additional cleaning between exam sittings
  • fewer students sitting exams at the same time
  • strict social distancing measures
  • new bag storage procedures; and
  • new processes for entry and exit to the venue to maintain social distancing.

More information about sitting exams and COVID safety measures will be provided when the final exam timetable is released by Wednesday 14 October.

Alternative exam arrangement deadlines

If you are an international student from a non-English speaking background (NESB), you may be entitled to extra time and other considerations during exams, if you have an NESB card. If you are eligible and don’t have a NESB card, you can get one by submitting an Ask Flinders request by Monday 12 October. Make sure your personal details are up-to-date in the Student System before you submit your request.

If you require alternative exam conditions due to a disability, you must make an appointment with the Flinders Disability Service to discuss your requirements and prepare a Disability Access Plan. The deadline to make an appointment has now been extended to Friday 9 October.

  1. Good morning all.
Am glad for the examination preparation information posted here. Please can it be possible to access past examination questions for revision or details on how the exam will take shape. This is important and peculiar with some of us who are international students, new in the system generally..
And above all, your pattern of learning is quite different from ours. So I plead that we can be carried along in these aspects please.

    Thanks.

    Kelechi Ibeakanma.

    1. Hi Kelechi,

Past exam papers may be available by asking your Topic Coordinator(s).
      I hope this helps!

Good luck with your exams 🙂

      Kind regards,
      Melissa
