🚨 Flinders WiFi (eduroam) Upgrade – What You Need to Know 🚨

There will be a scheduled upgrade to the Flinders WiFi (eduroam) Public Certificate this week.

🗓 When?
Wednesday, 7 May 2025
Time: 6:00am – 7:00am
📍 Where: All Flinders University campuses using eduroam WiFi

💡 What’s Happening?

This upgrade is to keep your connection safe and secure when logging in with your FAN and password. It’s a behind-the-scenes update, but here’s what you might notice:

📱 What Do I Need to Do?

If you’re using an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Mac), you might be asked to accept a new certificate the next time you connect to eduroam.

Here’s what to look for:

  • Common Name: auth.flinders.edu.au

  • Issuer: DigiCert Global G2 TLS RSA SHA256 2020 CA1

  • Valid From: 25 March 2025

  • Valid To: 26 March 2026

▶️ On iOS, tap ‘More Details’
▶️ On macOS, click ‘Show Certificate’

✅ Then, just click ‘Trust’ and ‘Continue’ to connect.

💻 If you’re on Windows or another device, you likely won’t see any changes — but if prompted, simply accept/trust the certificate.
