We’re excited to announce a fresh approach to academic support, with the launch of our Learning Buddies— our new, custom-designed AI-powered academic learning assistants.
Leveraging the latest in Artificial Intelligence, Study Buddy is here to support you whenever, wherever, and however you need throughout your Flinders learning journey. Whether you’re stuck on referencing, confused by stats, or just need help planning your writing — Study Buddy is here to guide you.
Also drawing on Artificial Intelligence, Feedback Buddy provides feedback on your written drafts and then you can follow up with questions or discussion to better understand the comments provided. When submitting draft assignments, please upload your work as a PDF. We are actively developing the ability to review Microsoft Word documents and will let you know as soon as this feature becomes available
Because we’re using AI technology, you don’t need to wait for someone to be available to assist with your questions, you can get near-instant responses from Study Buddy and Feedback Buddy.
We have based both Learning Assistants on Student Learning and Support Services resources, so the advice you receive is in tune with Flinders academic expectations and standards. You also know what it suggests is relevant for your learning environment and the Flinders context and that your data and Flinders intellectual property is protected.
Study Buddy and Feedback Buddy will soon replace some of the services you currently access through Studiosity, which will be retired in mid-November once Semester 2/NS2 has completed and will no longer be available.

We are also undertaking a co-design process with students and academic staff to further enhance our learning services, so more news will follow!
