As part of our commitment to put students at the centre of all we do, we want to ensure that your views are considered at the highest levels of Flinders University.
One way we do that is through the appointment of undergraduate and postgraduate student representatives to our governing body, University Council.
University Council is responsible for overseeing the management and development of the University, devising and approving strategic plans and major policies, and monitoring and reviewing the operation of the University.
During their two-year term, the student members will be part of the University’s decision-making processes, bringing student perspectives to the future direction of Flinders.
University Council is an exceptional opportunity to develop critical governance skills, including strategic thinking and leadership, communication and influence, ethics, accountability and teamwork.
The election for one undergraduate and one postgraduate member of University Council to serve on Flinders University Council from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2027 will commence soon.
Further information can be found in the University Election Procedures.
