The Australian Industrial Transformation has today added a COVID-19 module as part of a significant update to its Economic Indicators dashboard. This update allows you to explore the economic impacts of the coronavirus in Australia.

The ‘Maps’ function allows you to identify and compare the impact of the coronavirus for States and Territories to smaller localised areas at both a business and individual level.

The ‘Payroll Jobs’ function lets you explore the impact on employment across industries, gender and age.

Explore the dashboard 

The dashboard draws on data from:

• Job vacancies from the Labour Market Information Portal’s Internet Vacancy Index
• Small area labour force indicators from the Department of Education, Skills and Employment’s Small Area Labour Markets publication
• High-frequency COVID-19 data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics Weekly Payroll Jobs and Wages publication
