The Caring Futures Institute will host a thought-provoking half-day conference that will examine key issues about why we need to re-think care and self-care and what that might look like.
The virtual conference Are We Beyond Caring? Enabling the voiceless to be heard and the invisible to be seen will also explore how the work of the CFI is focused on enabling the voiceless to be heard and the invisible to be seen to positively impact health outcomes, quality of life and social and economic prosperity across the lifespan.
The event will be hosted by Professor Alison Kitson, the Foundation Director of CFI and Vice President and Executive Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Flinders University.
You will also hear from renowned thought leaders, Professor Sir Tom Shakespeare, Professor Trish Greenhalgh, Professor Debra Jackson, Dr Lynore Geia and a number of Caring Futures Institute researchers to explore critical health and societal issues we are currently facing and the need to redefine how self-care and caring can positively impact health outcomes, quality of life and social and economic prosperity across the lifespan.
Are We Beyond Caring is on 3 November, 9:30am – 1pm.
