We are making some changes to online video in FLO, particularly the desktop recorder, that may affect you.

Kaltura allows for video content to be included in FLO topics in an easy and secure way. Kaltura includes a desktop recorder – which records video from your webcam or computer screen – and then allows easy upload into FLO.

On 28 May, the current desktop recorder will be updated.

What do I need to do?
If you currently use the desktop recorder, you will need to install the update on or after 28 May. To do this contact the IDS Service Desk (12345 option 2) or install the new desktop recorder via the IDS Support Portal. The current desktop recorder will cease to work on 28 May.

If you have not used the desktop recorder, you are able to install and use the current version now, but you will need to install the update on 28 May. For assistance please contact the IDS Service Desk (12345 option 2) or install the new desktop recorder via the IDS Support Portal.

Important: All videos already in FLO will continue to work without any changes needed.
