Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Vice-Chancellor’s Innovation in Teaching Awards: now open

Teaching awards are a way to receive recognition for what you do, share with others your achievements, and contribute to the enhancement of learning and teaching at Flinders. You can use teaching awards as evidence in a promotion application, when applying for jobs, plus certificates can look nice hanging on your wall! Prize money can be put towards conference costs, teaching and learning materials, books, journals or other university related activity.

Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching

  • recognise and reward teaching excellence;
  • encourage teaching excellence through this recognition;
  • promote to both the Flinders and outside community that this university is proud of its academic staff and that they perform at national and international standards.

Vice-Chancellor’s Innovation in Teaching Awards

These awards recognise recent responsive and sustainable educational initiatives that address one of five key strategic objectives of the 2025 Agenda and exemplify a culture of innovation and excellence.

If you think this is your year for recognition, check the Rules and eligibility guidelines on the website, and contact anna.smith@flinders.edu.au to discuss your intentions.

The deadline for both awards is 20 October 2021.
