Each month we will profile a member of CILT staff, giving a glimpse into what makes them tick. This month we profile David Bain, Project manager in the Online Learning and Teaching team.
David Bain has been at Flinders since January 1998 and in CILT for about the last 5 years. His spare time hobbies include PC gaming, cooking, hiking and photography – Deep Creek Conservation Park and Onkaparinga River are favoured locations. He’s also a bit of a malt scotch collector!
What do you like the most about working at Flinders?
I love the natural surroundings that we have for a campus, and I really value the staff. Their positive contribution is immeasurable.
What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?
A smile from a colleague. Not to be confused with a grimace – occasionally it’s difficult to tell the difference. 😊
What is something you are looking forward to?
There are a number of projects I’m working on that are going to come to fruition during semester 2 this year. I’m really looking forward to seeing them implemented. And retirement!
