Q: Can I use assignment extension for my quizzes?
Yes, you can. The Extension request tool shows a list of assignment activities in your topic, but you can add other activities to allow students to submit extension requests. When other activities are added to the extension tool, you will need to manually manage the extension inside the activity (eg for a quiz, you would create an override for the student). Note that manually added activities (to the assignment extension tool) do not roll over; they will need to be recreated the next time the topic runs. Q: Can I bulk approve extension requests?

With the recent update, the assignment extension tool now allows you to bulk approve or decline extension requests under the 1-3 Days tab. Individual moderation is also available by clicking on the “pending” link located in the “Status” column.

The “Preview email” function is not available if using the bulk moderating feature.

Q: I would like to grade student assignments, but I am unable to? It doesn’t give me the option to grade?
If you want to grade assignments or quizzes in a topic, you will have to be added to the teaching team as a tutor. You will have to lodge a service one ticket with the category, “Updating a teaching team in FLO” assigned to the SAS team in your college. The SAS team will then give you a tutor role in that particular topic in Student Management system.
