The Student View Group (SVG) was formed in 2018 to work with the Compass Program team (members of Student Experience and Digital Student and Teaching Services) to inform and guide the development and transformation of the student experience at Flinders.

The group, made up of students from our diverse cohorts at Flinders, continue to be instrumental in helping to shape, direct and prioritise the programs student-centered initiatives.

This year, the SVG are focusing their attention on providing critical feedback and guidance to support the release of the Student Portal. The SVG have actively been involved in:

• User experience interviews
• Workshops
• Focus groups
• Project Board representation
• Surveys and feedback
• General feedback through regular SVG meetings

This creates a student-centered approach that is vital to the success of this project and ensures the Student Portal is designed and functions the way students want, and delivers what students need to support their success at Flinders.

We want as many students as possible to have their say on the Student Portal, to make sure the student voice is heard and implemented as much as we can. Students are able to register their interest in joining the SVG or participating in any of the activities mentioned above.
