Flinders and the 2013 Fringe

Flinders University, as a Program Partner of the Adelaide Fringe, is the sponsor of Fringe Benefits which provides benefits to students while also profiling Flinders University.  Students from Creative Arts, Tourism and Business have enhanced educational opportunities, e.g. access to Work Integrated Learning, and opportunities to experience the arts, whilst mixing with their peers and the wider community. The University will benefit from increased profile through engagement with the community.  The Fringe Benefits team will be on campus during O-Week to provide students information about Fringe Benefits and encourage students to join their 18-30’s Fringe Club for information on events, access to the Fringe Club marquee and discount ticketing.

This year, 8-10 Drama Centre students will be Fringe Crowd Ambassadors participating in the Fringe Parade (Friday 15 February) to engage the audience towards generating an atmosphere of anticipation for the parade. Four Drama Centre students will be employed to participate on one of the Parade floats. Other students will be employed to be part of the ‘Fringe Hospitality’ program, acting as colourful hosts, dressed in character and highly visible, to help with sponsor nights and corporate hospitality bookings in the Fringe Club. The Fringe Club is open during the whole Fringe season (15 February – 16 March).
