When I gave birth to my first child, Zoe, the midwives at Ashford Hospital were incredibly caring and mindful of what the experience is like for a new mother. I felt nurtured and respected. I feel particularly grateful for the newborn support and advice I received from Nurse and Lactation Consultant, Virginia Amann. Virginia was passionate, funny and positive. Despite being very busy, she always made me feel like I had her undivided attention. I believe I achieved the best health outcomes possible for myself and my baby as a result of her care.
