Welcome to Issue 3 of FCIC Now. Once again, it is filled with awards to our centre members, which is very pleasing to see.
Speaking of achievements, we have recently submitted the 2016 FCIC Annual Research Report to the University, which highlights our successes in 2016.
As a centre, we continue to perform well in terms of research funding, publications and engagement. Importantly, we are achieving impact with our focus on translational research such as: Colvera, the blood test for bowel cancer detection (Graeme Young and team); the Finding my way website for those diagnosed with cancer (Lisa Beatty and team); and the Work After Cancer website (Bogda Koczwara and team).
We recently held our first FCIC Forum aimed at bringing our members together to generate new research ideas and discuss topics of interest. Feedback has been positive and suggestions are welcome for future forums.
