Ovarian cancer research programme – investigator-initiated research award (US Department of Defense, US)

Supporting high-impact research that has the potential to make an important contribution to ovarian cancer or patient and survivor care.

The US Department of Defense, under its ovarian cancer research programme, invites pre-applications for its investigator-initiated research award.

Research projects may focus on any phase of research, from basic laboratory research through to translational research, excluding clinical trials, and must be relevant to active duty service members, veterans, military beneficiaries, or the American public.

Organisations from anywhere in the world may apply. The PI must be an independent investigator at or above the level of assistant professor or equivalent.

Awards are worth up to USD 450,000 each in direct costs over a maximum period of three years. Funding may cover salary, research supplies and equipment, clinical research costs and travel costs.
