The Union for International Cancer Control invites applications for the Yamagiwa-Yoshida memorial international study grants. These enable cancer investigators from any country to carry out bilateral research projects abroad that exploit complementary materials or skills, and involve advanced training in experimental research methods and techniques. Basic, translational or applied cancer research is eligible, and prevention-oriented projects are especially encouraged. Research should address the fields of biology, etiology, prevention, early detection, diagnosis and prognosis, treatment, or cancer control, survivorship and outcomes. Prevention projects are encouraged.

Applicants may be investigators, clinicians, epidemiologists or public health professionals with a track record in cancer research. They must have obtained a PhD degree or equivalent at least two years prior to the submission deadline, be actively engaged in cancer research and have recent publications in international peer-reviewed literature.

Between 10 and 12 grants, with an average value of USD 10,000 each, are available for up to three months.
