In 25 words or less, tell us about your role at FHMRI.
As a Research Support Assistant part of the College RDS team, I assist in updating, preparing and distributing information. I check and double-check details to promote accuracy and timeliness.
How does your work contribute to the success of FHMRI?
I like to think that my work helps to keep the cogs well-oiled and turning within the FHMRI machine. It’s my hope that the part I play will contribute to something bigger and I find that to be a very inspiring thought.
What do you enjoy most about working at FHMRI?
Although new to this role, the things I enjoy most about working here are the people and the environment. I’ve had some wonderful opportunities to meet and network with different people across Flinders and to engage with individuals who are at various stages of their careers. So far, every day has been different and I’ve enjoyed welcoming new tasks and challenges as they arise.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
When I’m not at work, I usually walk my dog, read or cook. Lately, I’ve enjoyed trying new wines and getting creative with dishes and pairings.
What advice would you give to someone looking to work at FHMRI?
There’s a lot to learn, so don’t rush. Take your time to absorb the information.
