From 2014, the census dates for both Semester 1 and 2 topics will fall on the last day of teaching week 5 of each semester, rather than 31 March and 31 August respectively.

This change is intended to provide Schools and topic coordinators with a consistent time to identify and support students who might be at risk of withdrawing or failing in their first semester.  It will also allow the University to better align the census dates and other key dates for students (e.g. fee deadlines, the last day to enrol in a topic) in both semesters.

Your assistance in ensuring that all published material (e.g. webpages, course and topic guides, printed handbooks and calendars) that include references to semester 1 and semester 2 census dates for 2014 and onwards are amended to reflect this change will be greatly appreciated.
