Flinders has received five Citations of Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning – four individual and one group award – from the Office of Learning and Teaching.

The Citations went to Associate Professor Sue McAlister (Speech Pathology and Audiology). Professor Jim Mitchell (Biology), Associate Professor Steve Brown (Tourism), Ms Jan Thompson (Nursing and Midwifery) and, from the Centre for University Teaching, Dr Ann Luzeckyj and Professor Heather Smigiel.

These prestigious Commonwealth government awards are achieved through a highly competitive process and reward the diverse, scholarly contributions made by individuals and teams who have had a significant impact on the quality of student learning in a particular area of responsibility over a sustained period.
