The Sir Ewen Waterman Oration will be presented this year by Geoff Norman, professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McMaster University in Canada.

The title of the presentation is “The things we know, the things we think we know but don’t and the things we don’t know but should”, and will focus on strategies for medical education.

The oration will be at 1pm on Tuesday, 22 October in Lecture Theatre 1 of the Flinders Medical Centre.

A PhD in nuclear physics and  MA in educational psychology, Professor Norman has written 10 books and 300 journal articles in the fields of education and measurement and statistics. His primary research interest is in cognitive psychology applied to problems of learning and reasoning.
