Flinders University and the University of South Australia are collaborating in hosting the 7th Biennial Conference of the Australasian Centre for Italian Studies (ACIS) ‘Re-Imagining Italian Studies’, to be held in Adelaide from 4 to 6 December 2013.

Over 70 international, interstate and local researchers will convene to share their research in areas such as cinema, crime and mafia, linguistics, literature, migration, translation, visual arts and more.

The official opening will be held on Wednesday, 4 December at Flinders University Victoria Square followed at 7pm by a public event presenting and screening the documentary, Terramatta (Costanza Quatriglio, 2012). Special guests include Chiara Ottaviano (producer), Roberto Nobile (voiceover), Luca Ricci (editor of the book) and Giovanni Rabito (son of the writer Vincenzo Rabito).
