University Teacher of the Year to speak

Professor James Arvanitakis was the recipient of the 2012 Prime Minister’s University Teacher of the Year Award and is an academic/activist in the humanities with over 10 years’ experience. Over the past three years he has concentrated on two areas: enhancing the first year experience and working with some of the most gifted students as Academic Course Adviser, Bachelor of Arts (Deans’ Scholars) at University of Western Sydney.

On Tuesday 26 November from 1pm to 2pm Professor Arvanitakis will present a speech entitled “Principles for Inclusive Teaching (or Teaching like a pirate…)” in the Health Sciences Building. Please follow this link to enrol for this exciting event.
