Encourage your first year students to take advantage of library orientation activities

All library orientation activities are designed to help students develop useful foundation skills that will help them function effectively in the first few weeks of university study. If you would like more advanced subject specific orientation or more information please contact your Liaison Librarian.

Library Search Smart Circuits
20 minute Library Tour (Including how to find a book on the shelves), 10 minute introduction to computing, 10 minute introduction to FLO (Flinders Learning Online) and 10 minute introduction to printing in the university (50 minutes total). No need to book.
Meet in the Central Library Foyer.

FAN Activation Station
FLO Help Desk staff will be available to help students activate their FANs and passwords. No need to book.

Wireless Drop-in Station
FLO Help Desk Staff will be available to assist students set up mobile devices to the wireless network. No need to Book.

FLO (Flinders Learning Online) intensive
50 minute intensive introduction to using Flinders Learning Online (FLO) including e submission of assignments. Bookings required.

Library Search Smart Quiz
Each year the Library runs a quiz designed to introduce students to the Flinders University Library and its key resources for finding and using information.

The Quiz is part of a “topic” called Library Search Smart Online and will be available to all students through FLO. If you would like to gain access to Library Search Smart Online and its quiz, please enrol here (http://flo.flinders.edu.au/enrol/index.php?id=13).
