Professor Cees Van der Vleuten will present the 2014 Sir Ewen Waterman Oration at midday on Tuesday 15 April in Lecture Theatre 1 of the Flinders Medical Centre.

Professor Van der Vleuten is Scientific Director of the School of Health Professions Education at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

He will discuss the problems of assessing a more integrated definition of competence or competency-based education.
