Ray Whitrod Memorial Lecture

This year’s Ray Whitrod Memorial Lecture will feature author Matthew Condon, who has recently completed the second volume of his trilogy tracing the corruption rife in Queensland politics and society in the 1970s and 80s.

In Honest Ray: the political assassination of a police commissioner, Mr Condon will describe how Ray Whitrod paid for his attempts to reform the Queensland police, detailing for the first time, the nature of his removal from the job of police commissioner and the rise to power of Terry Lewis.

The lecture will be held at Flinders University Victoria Square on June 10 at 5pm.

The Ray Whitrod series is presented by the Centre for Crime Policy and Research.
