Council is the governing body of the University and is responsible for overseeing the management and development of the University, devising or approving strategic plans and major policies, and monitoring and reviewing the operation of the University.

Nominations are invited for the election of two members of academic staff, two members of professional staff, one undergraduate student member and one postgraduate student member.

The nomination forms and information on eligibility and the nomination process are available at:  http://www.flinders.edu.au/elections .

Nominations open at 11 am on Thursday 28 August 2014 and close at 12 noon on Friday 12 September 2014.

There will be an election if there are more nominations than positions available.
