Former SA Governor to give Investigator Lecture

Rear Admiral the Honourable Kevin Scarce AC CSC RAN (Rtd) will deliver the annual Investigator Lecture on Monday 24 November at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

KevThe former Governor of South Australia will present the topic Divided we fall: Finding a shared vision for South Australia’s economic transformation.

Rear Admiral Scarce inspired the Shaping the Future of South Australia program that investigated what was needed to help grow South Australia’s economy. The final report was presented in August and contained a series of practical actions to transform the State’s economy for the 21st Century.

Rear Admiral Scarce was the 34th Governor of South Australia, serving from August 2007 to August 2014.

The lecture will be held on Monday 24 November 2014, at 6pm for a 6.15pm start (concluding at 7.30pm)

The venue is The Banquet Room of the Adelaide Festival Centre.

Members of the public are welcome to attend, however places are limited and registration is essential.

The Investigator Lecture is a major public event on the University’s calendar and is named after Matthew Flinders’ ship The Investigator. The lecture was first given in 1979. A complete list of past speakers and their lectures titles is available here.
