Food packaging labels and how to use them

Several systems of package labelling have been developed in recent years, with the intention of assisting consumers in making healthier food choices. Nutrition information panels can often be small and difficult to decipher, leaving consumers frustrated and confused. So far, various food labelling systems have been trialled including the percentage DI thumbnails and the traffic light system. The latest system to be implemented is the Health Star Rating (HSR).

So just what do HSRs mean? Are they useful to consumers? How are they calculated? To find out more, please come along to a  presentation on the new Health Star Rating System.  You have two opportunities to attend:

Thursday 30 October OR on Wednesday 5 November, midday to 1pm.

Location: Conference Room, Function Centre.
