The 2015 Draft timetable is now available for review.

For your reference a Timetable Viewer On-line Tutorial and Timetable Viewer User Guide are also available. To access the Timetable Viewer  please sign in with your FAN and Password.

Action Required

  1. Please review the timetable information for your topic/topics. Please note that you will need to send all feedback and change requests to your School Timetable Coordinator/s who will need to collect and collate this information for your School prior to forwarding to the project team for action.
  1. Please check the details of the timetable with special focus on the items below:
  • Scheduled Classes – are there any issues with the outcome of the how these have scheduled?  For example the class is scheduled on Tuesday at 2pm and you know that the lecturer is not available
  • Core Topics are not clashing –  For example a topic was offered in Semester 1 in 2014 is now a Semester 2 topic in 2015, are students still able to do to the core topics without clashing
  • Classes are not in order as expected? For example students need to do the workshop 2 days prior to the tutorial
  • Is the class in the right type of specialist space?  For example is the class allocated to the correct laboratory.

You will see that some of your classes have not scheduled and the reason for these not scheduling could be:

  • Students who are required to undertake the class are currently undertaking another activity at that time;
  • There is no room that meets the resource requirements;
  • Staff are not available to teach;
  • The class cannot be scheduled due to a sequencing error (e.g. this class should be before another class)

We are still working through the residual feedback provided by Schools after the Test timetables. We will continue to review why a class has not scheduled and work through these issues with Schools to determine the reason, identify further information that is required and make the necessary changes.

How to request changes

  • School Timetable Coordinators to send all change requests via email to the project team at Timetabling.Services@flinders.edu.au for action. Up to the enrolment date for the particular topic, changes affecting single-choice classes can be made via this process. Up to the class registration date for the particular topic, changes affecting multiple-choice classes can be made via this process.  However, once students have registered the procedure below will need to be followed.
  • Once students have registered into topics, all timetable change requests for these topics will need to be approved by School Dean or nominee. A change form and a link to access this form will be provided before November 24 when the enrolment and class registration process commence.

Thank you all for your cooperation and great effort that has already been undertaken to produce the Draft timetable. We look forward to working closely with you topublish the 2015 University timetable to students on November 17.

  1. The links to ‘2015 Draft timetable’ and the ‘Timetable viewer’ seem to be dead. Same thing happens when I click through from the link in the Timetable Viewer User Guide.
