A Channel 7 news report on the development of  lobster-infused foods included an interview with Flinders biotechnologist Professor Wei Zhang. Dr Ramiz Boulos of the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences led research into novel of antibiotics that was reported widely on ABC radio news and on SBS and ABC television news. Flinders research that found complications from lap-band surgery to be a significant contributor to hospital bed occupancy was reported in the Advertiser and the Courier Mail.
