Call for papers on university-community engagement

The Australasian Journal of University/Community Engagement is putting together a themed issue of the journal (Spring 2015) on the topic of ‘evaluation of community engagement and service learning’.

Guest editors: Dr Isabelle Bartkowiak-Théron (UTas) and Associate Professor Diana Whitton (UWS)

Possible themes include:

  • Community engagement and service learning project evaluation
  • Evaluation theory and community engagement / service learning
  • key performance indicators in community engagement / service learning
  • literature on community engagement evaluation
  • community engagement as a pathway to research
  • research with communities of practice/industry as community engagement
  • community engagement as a qualitative and/or quantitative research endeavour
  • community engagement in terms of processes and/or outcomes
  • community engagement in organisational documents (business plans, university strategic plans)
  • community engagement as methodological process

All papers will be (blind) peer-reviewed prior to publication.
