Nominations are open for the Eureka Prize for Promoting Understanding of Australian Science Research for 2015.
There are 16 prizes on offer this year, including two new prizes:
Prizes in the Research & Innovation category are:
- NSW Office of Environment and Heritage Eureka Prize for Environmental Research
- UNSW Eureka Prize for Excellence in Interdisciplinary Scientific Research
- Scopus Eureka Prize for Excellence in International Scientific Collaboration **NEW**
- Australian Infectious Diseases Research Centre Eureka Prize for Infectious Diseases Research
- ANSTO Eureka Prize for Innovative Use of Technology
- Defence Science and Technology Organisation Eureka Prize for Outstanding Science for Safeguarding Australia
- Macquarie University Eureka Prize for Outstanding Early Career Researcher
- UNSW Eureka Prize for Scientific Research
- Rural Research and Development Corporations Eureka Prize for Rural Innovation **NEW**
The Leadership prizes comprise:
- 3M Eureka Prize for Emerging Leader in Science
- CSIRO Eureka Prize for Leadership in Science
- University of Technology, Sydney Eureka Prize for Outstanding Mentor of Young Researchers
Entries close at 7 pm AEST Friday 1 May. Finalists will be announced on 24 July, and the winners will be announced on 26 August.
