Flinders in the news

MelanieProfessor Melanie Oppenheimer (History) took part in a forum which discussed Anzac Day on ABC News 24. She has also been interviewed on ABC radio on subjects including First World War nurses and soldier settlement schemes, and her research on the records of missing soldiers held by Adelaide’s Red Cross Bureau in World War One was featured in an Advertiser article.

ABC TV and radio news also covered the development by two Flinders engineering students of new technology that enables remote cameras to identify human beings; their supervisor, Dr Nasser Asgari, was interviewed. A Channel 9 news story covered a nurse call device for use by people disabled by arthritis designed at Tonsley by Flinders, Uni SA and the Hills Innovation Centre,  interviewing Associate Professor Sandy Walker of the School of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics.
