Flinders joins OzAsia Festival as partner

ozaFlinders University has come on board as a Festival Partner for the 2015 OzAsia Festival.

OzAsia – Australia’s leading international arts festival focusing on Asia, presented by Adelaide Festival Centre – is held annually and features the best contemporary theatre, dance, music, visual arts and film from across Asia, as well as supporting artistic exchange between Australia and Asia.

Flinders University Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) Professor Nancy Cromar said the university’s involvement in this year’s festival would be a celebration of the university’s existing partnerships and encourage greater cultural and creative links.

“This partnership not only reflects Flinders University’s social and educational collaboration with Indonesia, but also its commitment to cultural exchange and engagement to enhance diplomacy, business and trade with the Asia region,” Professor Cromar said.

The OzAsia Festival is a city-wide event incorporating theatres, galleries, cinemas and outdoor spaces.

The university’s partnership with OzAsia will provide a range of unique opportunities for its students over the coming months, as well as during the festival which runs from September 23 to October 4.
