Pathologist heads Flinders recipients of Queen’s Birthday honours

DougAcademic and clinician Professor Douglas Henderson was among staff, former staff and alumni from Flinders to be recognised in the Queen’s Birthday honours list.

Currently Professor of Pathology and former head of the Department of Histopathology at Flinders from 1994 to 2005, Professor Henderson was awarded an AO (Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia) for his service to medicine, particularly anatomical pathology, as a clinician and diagnostician, and to education as an academic and author in the field of asbestos-related diseases.
