Visiting US academic and ageing expert Professor Kyriakos (“Kokos”)  Markides will present a seminar at 10am on Thursday July 2 at Flinders University Victoria Square.

His topic will be Immigrant Health and Ageing in the United States and other Western Countries.

The Annie & John Gnitzinger Distinguished Professor of Aging Studies and Director, Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Community Health at University of Texas Medical Branch, Professor Markides’ research  focuses on ageing and health of the Mexican American population and minority ageing issues in general.
