The Innovative Research Universities group held a national event in Canberra last week. Professor Colin Stirling was one of five IRU Vice-Chancellors to attend.

The IRU published its Strengthening Research Across Asia: An Asia Research and Innovation Network statement in advance of the event.

IRU in Asia: Meet the Researchers was held at Parliament House and offered an opportunity for parliamentarians and policy advisers to engage with IRU researchers actively working with Asian research partners.

Professor Martin Griffiths, Dean of International Studies at Flinders, was among the presenting researchers.

The event highlighted, across a range of disciplines, research projects between Flinders, Charles Darwin University, James Cook University, Griffith University, La Trobe University, Murdoch University with partners in China, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia and beyond.
