Staff who teach practicals in science topics are invited to a workshop on the role of inquiry-based laboratories in the undergraduate curriculum and evidence that inquiry can improve student engagement and learning outcomes on 29 September.

Participants, who are invited to bring examples of content they would like to present to students, will experience an inquiry-based laboratory from the student perspective and compare it to a traditional verification laboratory.

Strategies to implement inquiry in other topics will also be explored.
