Novelist Anthony Trollope visited Australia and New Zealand in the 1870s and, inevitably, wrote all about it. His memoir had a mixed reception, including hostile reviews in the Adelaide press.

To mark the bicentenary of Trollope’s birth, Adelaide author Nigel Starck reveals the full story of Trollope’s Australian trip in his book The First Celebrity: Anthony Trollope’s Australasian Odyssey.
