David Currow to talk about end-of-life care

CurrowWe’re living longer, but what does that mean about the circumstances in which we – and the people we love – face death?

Cutting edge research by internationally renowned Flinders University Palliative Care expert Professor David Currow shows care has become a key issue – not just care for the dying, but care for the caregivers.

He argues more can and should be done to ensure existing resources more effectively support patients and their carers, and that better communication amongst health professionals is needed.

Professor Currow. will deliver the next in the Flinders Investigators series, the University’s  free monthly public lectures bringing world-leading research to the wider community. The lecture will be held at Flinders University Victoria Square at 5.30pm on Thursday, 17 September.

The next speakers in the series will be space archaeologist Dr Alice Gorman (October) and psychologist Professor Neil Brewer (November).
