Cosmonauts rescheduled for Investigator Lecture

space stationVisiting Russian cosmonauts Alex Akulov and Sergey Treshchev will deliver the University’s annual flagship public lecture, the Investigator Lecture, on Wednesday, 18 November at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

Please note that the date has been rescheduled from the previous notification.

They will share their experiences of space travel, the effects of living in space for a prolonged period and the important issue of health for space crew.  The lecture, to be delivered in Russian and translated live into English, will provide a fascinating first hand insight in to space travel.

The pair are visiting Adelaide at the invitation of the School of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics.

Space is very much a topical theme, with the announcement of  Adelaide as host of the International Astronautical Congress in 2017, while last week Flinders University was inducted as a member of the International Astronautical Federation.
