BUPA Challenge results/ health events and resources for December

Here are some health awareness events and resources for December complied by the Work Health and Safety Unit:

BUPA Pedometer Challenge Results – Well done to all those who participated in the BUPA Pedometer Challenge. Congratulations to the winning teams and individual record holders. We had a record 280 participants finish the challenge. We hope you have enjoyed participating, getting to know your team members and becoming fit.  Remember – just because the challenge is over doesn’t mean you need to stop – so we hope to see you all walking into the New Year and beyond.

Safety Training Videos on-line – did you know that the WHS Unit has a range of safety videos that staff can access?

Decembeard Australia – bowel cancer awareness month: grow a beard to raise funds and awareness and help save lives through early detection as bowel cancer is one of the most curable types of cancer if found early.

International Day of People with Disability – 3 December – aims to promote an understanding of people with disability and encourage support for their dignity, rights and well-being.
